The length of the race track is 360 meters in length and 10 meters in width, taking a shape of an open ring, with 3 curves and 32 slopes and jumps at various levels. The start platform is 4 meters in height. The tracks are built according to the superior highway standards; and the start gates are globally advanced made in USA, as recommended by UCI.
An area of 300 square meters is reserved at the northwest part from the start gates, and is made available for temporary buildings as the office space for the arbiters and change rooms for athletes. The track field is equipped with 2 sets of special lighting facilities to meet the needs for night-hour training and contests.
The permanent audience stand is in the east part of the track field. The Comprehensive Training Hall is of 2,600 square meters with architectural structure using light steel and vacuum plane glass. The Hall is equipped with 46 sets of training facilities including electric running machines and race bikes. After the completion of this BMX track field, and as a result of the active assistance from Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), UCI Asia, Chinese Cycling Association, and Shanxi Sports Bureau, Taiyuan has consecutively organized several large international and domestic

They include the Taiyuan BMX International Invitation Championships and All China BMX Championships in September 2004; the First Asian BMX Championships and All China BMX Championships in May 2006; the Pan-Asia BMX Championships in September 2006; and the All China International BMX Championships in June 2007. After each contests, based on the consultancy from the athletes, coaches and international specialists, we made renovations and modifications to the track field. That makes the field more sophisticated and good for the superior performances of athletes. In spring of 2005, this track field was designated as the first National BMX Training Base by the Chinese Cycling Association.
The track field is at the newly-renovated Binghe East Highway of very continent transportation. It takes 30 minutes to drive to the airport, and its distance to all the major hotels are within 20 minutes drive.
